two bodies embraced

united for a summer night

sometimes they are waves in the sand

 

two bodies, two destinations

intertwining as the roots

from a tree

 

two bodies so different

and so similar

like two stones in a desert.

 

two bodies so soft

so warm

like razors and lightning bolts in

in a storm

 

two bodies surrendering

to the light of the moon

letting go

by the emptiness of a cloudy sky.

 

two burning bodies

like firewood in a fire

freezing under uncertainty and

the silence of loneliness.
